Where should you automate first? Follow one repeated task

Find an automation opportunity by measuring a small repeatable workflow, its exceptions and the cost of rework.

Business infrastructure and connected technology

Choose a small, frequent process

Look for a task that happens often, has a clear owner and creates repeated copying or chasing. Examples include routing an enquiry, creating a job card or collecting a review. Map its start, finish and decisions before selecting an application.

Measure the baseline

Record how often the task happens and how long it normally takes. Distinguish active work from waiting time. Note rework, missing information and exceptions; a straight-line demo may miss the cases that cause most frustration.

Use the planning calculator

The Insights planning tool estimates the value of time at an hourly rate. It is an illustrative capacity estimate, not a promise of cash savings. Benefits depend on adoption, process changes and whether recovered capacity is used productively. Include delivery, integration, training and support when building a business case.

Pilot and compare

Agree a small pilot with representative users and data. Test retries, rejected approvals and permissions as well as successful submissions. Compare completion time and exception rates with the baseline, then decide whether to expand.

Explore a workflow in action

The CoreFlow demo illustrates service requests, assignment, job cards and administrative follow-through. Use it to start a conversation about the work your team needs to complete.
